EMERGENCY HELP TIME SENSITIVE MATTER I need guidance in filing a motion reconsider so we can get back in front of the judge in regards to a landlord tenant case on back rent that is owed my mother owns her mobile home has lived in this park for 12 years, they are taking her to court for rent owed and we have been going back and forth with the park you just discrepancies in the amount they are saying that she owed and for missing payments that we have proof of that have not been put into her ledger we we're granted a court date to appear in person in front of the judge so we can show evidence of what we were talking about and 2 days before the Court hearing my mother was put in the hospital w Covid/Pneumonia and placed on a ventilator for almost 2 weeks I let the court know and they would not let me represent her due to me not being legally on the documents they defaulted her so I filed a motion to stay /motion to set aside default judgment with a bond posted for a month's rent/DENIED~
A:
You need to hire a LOCAL attorney familiar with trailer park rentals.
Get off the internet looking for help, and get on the phone to someone nearby who can help.
This is not going to be a successful DIY situation -- you cannot afford to NOT have an attorney familiar with the area and the judges to know how to do this best.
Get off the internet and get local licensed help!
