Divorce cannot be between parents and children. 18 is the age of majority unless the child is fully self supporting and can be emancipated.

She needs her parents' permission to do this until she turns 18, unless perhaps she can become emancipated.

the provision in florida allows 16 year olds to have sex with anyone 16-23 so why is sexting illegal?
answered on Jun 24, 2015
That is up to the legislature. You can research the legislative history to find out, or you can pay an attorney to do that.

It depends on what he is charged with, exactly. He could spend until he is 19 in juvenile detention. But I do not have enough facts here to be able to come to a conclusion.

Yes, it is legal to be those ages in Florida. But what are you actually asking about? You did not mention dating or sex. A 15 year old cannot consent to sex, and the other can be charged with sexual battery and branded for life.

answered on Jun 14, 2015
Wrong action, as far as my thinking goes. No, you cannot change the locks to prevent your child from coming home.

No, it is not. 15 year olds do not have the capacity to consent to sex.

The 16 year old can be prosecuted for sexual battery and you do not have the capacity to consent to sex. What do the parents of the 16 year old say about her moving in?
he was picked up from school today from an officer, What to exspect?

Expect that your son will need a criminal defense attorney and will be prosecuted for a very serious crime.
answered on May 25, 2015
Yes, it is possible. But if there is sex, a very serious crime will be charged.
