If the actual title was signed, then I don't believe it matters legally whether the owner subsequently passed away. Obviously, it needs to be processed by the Secretary of State for issuance of a new title.

Parents would be there to pick up their children, using it solely as a bus stop.

You'd need to contact the school district's transportation office. But I would think from the child care facility's perspective, if the bus stop is on their property, they are incurring significant liability, and absolutely can limit access to that bus stop to enrolled children.... View More

It isn't clear if you're being sued, or you anticipate being sued. If you're being sued, attorneys should be able to advise you of an hourly figure for defending the matter when you show them the summons and complaint. Don't delay there because if you were served with papers,... View More

Hillard Fried

answered on Jan 10, 2011

You draft the notice of hearing at the location of your choice. You would file it in the court clerk's office, either electronically (if the court requires that method) or by regular mail - if the court requires original hard copies. The latter courts also accept manual filings.
