Penalties If convicted for driving without insurance in NJ: First Offense: Loss of your license for one year, community service to be determined by the court and a fine between $300.00 and $1,000.00. The fact that you now have the insurance will definitely help your case, but you were required to... View More
My ticket has wrong date of year and i do not have license. I didn’t have insurance, registration on me as well at the time of ticket. Can the ticket be dismissed?

Unfortunately in New Jersey it's a notice pleading state so if you had notice of the ticket and the officer can testify that he gave the ticket to you or saw you driving, even if some of the information on the ticket is wrong or missing the ticket will generally still stand. In most cases any... View More

You can probably get a ticket bc they just need probable cause to do that.
Is that standard procedure?

Yes, there are different tickets he could have issued and unlawfully operate is appropriate as would failure to obey a traffic signal

Fines range anywhere from 50-200 dollars administrative and
1 -9 mph over is 85 (140 if violation of safe corridor or in... View More

You can go to court to fight the tickets however you don't have a defense if your windows and license plates were tinted. Unfortunately the law is not equal and just like they are allowed to speed and your not, so are they also allowed to tint their squad cars windows and plates.... View More

Sure you can fight the ticket, but if you try to you could get a ticket for improper lane change a moving violation. Best bet is to just pay it, police are allowed to tailgate you.

Contact the court in the Connecticut town where you were issued the ticket and if you don't remember then contact NJMVC and they should tell you but if they don't know then your last stop would be CT Motor Vehicle. Good luck!

Best way to avoid points on any ticket is to hire a good lawyer. I don't know what you mean by I just received summary as that is not a legal term.
What should i do? It makes no sense as to why the officer gave me a ticket that isn’t mine. Does that mean i didn’t actually get a ticket?

Interesting bring your ticket to a lawyer to get the best advise, this is something a lawyer should see.

I would be willing to be that there is a warrant based on a failure to appear. If you do not show, a warrant can be issued and they can suspend your license. It is not a failure to prosecute.
There is no crosswalk lines to indicate a crosswalk and I was parked on a Main Street not a side street. The Main Street does not have a place to cross where my car was parked. Yes you can plead not guilty, just call up the court and tell them.

In general clerical errors are not a defense to a traffic ticket. You need a defense based on the facts of the case. With two tickets I suggest you hire a good lawyer.

You just need to call the court at the number listed on the ticket. I suggest hiring a good lawyer if you want to have the best chance of getting the best result (i.e low fine and no points)
