Generally speaking, I wouldn’t disclose an “arrest” unless I was specifically told to do so. Arrests are highly prejudicial in that an individual can very well be innocent of a the crime for which he or she is arrested but never given the opportunity to testify or defend themselves because... Whether or not your failure to appear in court will result in a license suspension depends on what type of case you failed to appear for. Whenever anyone is taken into custody, like in this case by the CHP, they are taken to the local county jail. So the first thing you need to do is identify which county he was arrested in so you can determine which jail he’s presently being held. Once you know which jail holds inmates arrested... View More

Q: I was served a witness subpoena by district attorney's office via mail. Is this a real subpoena? Do I need to show up?

I know what the case is regarding, I rather not appear if I don't need to. I feel the district attorney's office is trying to trick me into thinking I need to appear when it's not a real subpoena until served in person. Thank you.

If you willfully refuse to appear when you’ve been served a subpoena to do... View More

A: You're likely still looking at jail time since the warrant remains active and your probation likely stayed for non compliance.
