Q: The job interview I went to, the job description sent to me, the offer to me, and the job I accepted was a..

Multimedia Engineer job. 1st day of work I show up and I was put in a completely unrelated job as a Chassis Engineer. 6 Months later they told us we are no longer Engineers, but are now called Specialists. Now, 3 years later after working for a promotion to Assistant Manager, they are now telling me that they are changing my promoted title to Sr. Specialist.

I'm fairly certain this was all done because the have found they are systematically underpaying their "Engineers' and it is an attempt to not pay these 'Engineers' at Market Value, but to lower the job title to match the pay. Is all of this legal? Seems pretty fraudulent. Obviously the lowered job titles more closely match the pay now, but I feel like I've been scammed out of the job they offered me as well as thousands of dollars in future wages from a job title they changed because they intitially mispriced the Market.

A: Sounds to me like fraud and breach of contract. I recommend you find a competent employment law firm to assist you with your claims.
