Q: I was terminated as an EMT/ Ambulance operator for a private ambulance company for being wrongfully accused

I was fired on the 31st of August as an EMT/ ambulance operator from Premier Medical Transportation in the city of in Colton, Ca. Which covers the County of Riverside for being accused of not being in uniform while on duty at a Hospital and for "not wanting to drive". I have witness statements including the person who was at fault saying it wasnt me. I understand I am an at will employee. I am white male and will be 39 in Dec. So I would be considered on the the older end not only for this line of work but also at my company. I was 30 days away from a possible raise. As for the not wanting to drive. I was for almost all of my employment I was on 24hr shifts twice a week and then moved to 2 24hr shifts back to back according to the company schedule but everyone calls it a 48hr shift. I was the only driver on my crew and on that type of shift i was the only crew that had only one driver. We would run calls for 14-18+ hours without the oppurtunity for breaks or meals there where times tha

I’m on list for Accident and DUI

I would think they are clearly wrong in terminating you and they expose themselves to liability if get in an accident because of the lack of breaks
