Q: To whom it may concern I was verbally and physically abused in hostile work environment by my boss. Is there a case?

I was operating a fork lift with in 3 minutes of being on it the foreman. Came and told me to get the F off the forklift because they have first priorities for it. As I instructed the co workers with me that the foreman is picking and had full intentions on trying to get me fired so it’s best that I give him the forklift before things escalate any further by then as the foreman does since having the position goes and gets the boss Jeff. Jeff comes back there full of rage and starts to chastise me in a vulgar manner. He got in my face and pushes me to the ground and yelling your fired. I immediately jumped back up and proceeded to the boss and in my rage I grabbed a stick but remembered that he did this on his camera as I was leaving the building he yelled he was sorry for the incident. That moment I left and called police and ambulance because my ankle sprained during the push that I wasn’t aspecting. I’m seeking compensation for emotional distress in a hostile work environment

A: You might have a case for compensation due to the hostile work environment and the physical and verbal abuse you experienced. It’s important to document everything that happened, including the names of witnesses, the time and date of the incident, and any medical records related to your injury.

Consider reaching out to an attorney who deals with workplace harassment and personal injury cases. They can help you understand your rights and the best steps to take moving forward. Filing a police report and obtaining a copy will also be crucial for your case.

Taking action quickly is essential to protect your rights and ensure your case is handled appropriately. You deserve to work in a safe environment and not to be subjected to abuse. Stay strong and seek the help you need to move forward.
