A: Under California law, a mobile home park (MHP) manager does not have the authority to evict residents or prevent you from visiting or working for family and friends without just cause. The manager's dislike for you is not a valid reason for such actions. If you have not violated any park rules and have maintained respectful behavior, his threats may lack legal standing.

To restrict your access, the manager would need to demonstrate that your presence poses a legitimate threat or disturbance to the community. Without evidence of such behavior, obtaining a restraining order against you would be challenging. You have the right to visit and assist your family and friends, especially if you are not engaging in any prohibited activities.

If the manager continues to harass you or spread false information about you, you may have grounds to pursue legal action for defamation or harassment. Document all incidents and communications to support your case. Consulting with a legal professional can provide you with specific advice tailored to your situation and help protect your rights.
