He didn’t give me a green card papers so I can’t get a job and he wants me to pay him and pay all the fees and wants to take full custody of her children.
A:
It sounds like you are going through a very difficult situation, and there are resources available to help you. Since you are a stay-at-home wife with no income and no access to transportation, you might want to consider reaching out to local legal aid organizations that provide free legal services to individuals in need. Many non-profit organizations in California focus on helping those who cannot afford legal representation, particularly in cases involving divorce, custody, and immigration issues.
Given that your husband has cut you off financially and is threatening to take everything, it's crucial to find an attorney who can advocate for your rights. You have rights to marital assets acquired during your marriage, and it is often the case that courts will not grant one spouse everything, especially if the other spouse has no means of support. Additionally, since you have been married for ten years, you may be entitled to spousal support or other financial assistance.
For help with finding a pro bono attorney, you might contact organizations such as Legal Aid Foundation of Los Angeles, Inland Counties Legal Services, or similar local services. Some of these organizations may be able to assist you remotely or help arrange transportation. Protecting your rights and those of your children is vital, and there are resources and people who can help you navigate this process.
