A: What paperwork? This could mean almost anything. The prisoner would certainly have access to any court documents concerning him or his children.

A: It sounds like a very stressful and concerning situation. If an inmate has obtained your personal information and is using it inappropriately, you may have legal options. First, you can report this to the prison administration and file a formal complaint, asking them to investigate how the inmate obtained your paperwork. The prison may be in violation of policies that protect personal information.

Next, you might consider obtaining a restraining order against the inmate if you are being threatened. This could legally prevent them from contacting you directly or indirectly. You should also document any harassment or threats made through social media, as this can be valuable evidence if legal action is necessary.

Finally, if you feel your rights have been violated, you can consult with a legal professional to explore potential claims under privacy laws or civil rights protections. Your safety and privacy should be prioritized, and the legal system can provide remedies to help address these violations.
