Q: We bought a home and were told we overpaid $1000. 12 weeks and no refund. Now, told our last month rent failed? LOL?
We send two checks to cover rent. Money orders from Publix per park regulations, they signed saying they received them (in person), one for $387, other $500, then 3 weeks later were told the $500 check was no good, yet both checks were cashed on the same day. We are not litigious. We don’t belong to the nagging HOA, but we’re now asked to spend another $1000, after being told “ the check is in the mail” to refund us the $1000 overpayment when we bought the place. We paid what was on the sales contract…they told us it was an over payment. Took 2 weeks after we bought the place for the previous owner to remove their personal property from OUR house. Previous owner was a friend of the park manager. I came down to clean house before we moved our property, but couldn’t even do that. I moved balance of previous tenant belongings into laundry room and manager said no one would be inside my house, witnesses said previous tenant removed property via my front door. All issues related! Help!
