Q: Can an older STEM masters from USA be used to extend OPT after a second US Masters Degree (in business)

Have a previous Masters in Engineering - went to work in Singapore for 4 yrs without using my OPT. Came back for business school, have an offer from a company in USA (with e-verify). If I do not get my H1B on my first try, can I apply for a STEM extension based on my previous Masters?

Most likely not, if you are requesting OPT for the masters you completed recently you need to have STEM course materials in that matters. Talk to your school's DSO to help you in this matter. All the best.

If you sponsor your spouse after you become a US citizen the time it takes for your spouse to receive the green card is about 6 to 8 months. If you sponsor your spouse when you are not a US citizen the process might take longer than 8 months depending upon which country your spouse is from. So I... View More

Well the only thing should do right now is to get an attorney. Posting the question on this platform is not going to help, many attorneys including me offer free consultations. Make use of them. All the best.

Is the child already in the US? You will most likely have to apply at the next nearest embassy if the embassy in your country in closed. If the child is already in the US, then yes you may be able to apply here. All the best.

If it was dismissed you might not have any problems. But if you are marrying the person who was involved in the domestic violence arrest you might have some trouble. Talk to an immigration to find out how you can navigate around this. All the best.

You urgently need to consult with an attorney with substantial experience in employment-based immigration. Each day that your dependent remains out of status or arguably out of status, your chances of fixing the problem diminish.
