Yes, even if only charged as a misdemeanor, you license to drive may be restricted (by the court) and/or suspended (by the DMV) which may affect your ability to perform your job.

Q: My boyfriend was charged with 2nd DUI in CA last July. He had .o8 BAC & is fighting the case. He has enhs VC23546 why?

I tried researching online & it looks like 3rd conviction in 10 yrs, but he said he doesn't have a reckless driving or anything. What else is included?

Speak to your attorney. More info is needed. Typically, there are fees and costs involved after a DUI. All of that should of been explained to you when you reached a disposition at your DUI arraignment.

without knowing more facts it is hard to say.

however you do not just hire a lawyer to prove your son innocent/not guilty..................................

the biggest consideration is the sentence and a good lawyer can often have a say in the sentence.

Q: Can I get compensated for the neck injury damages I got because of an accident with a DUI but not my fault as agreed?

The DUI part was taken care of and I get my license back by the man part is the civil case that an arbitrator provided by the third-party said that I am at no fault and the case was closed the accident occurred in September 2016

They did not take my license they gave it to me. I just want to make sure if I need a hearing at the DMV if I was not given a revocation or a suspension letter.

DMV WILL NOT DO ANYTHING B/C IT WAS MJ AND NOT ALCOHOL.

YOU CAN NOT DRIVE UNDER THE INFLUENCE JUST AS YOU CAN NOT DRINK AND DRIVE.

DO NOT HAVE IT IN THE CAR TO BE SAFE.

a lawyer needs more info.

some courts use interlock others are not as demanding.

it is not a question of whether you need it but rather whether the DA and Court ORDER it.

it sounds like you have 2 within 10 years and another outside of it..........

for sure they will ask for jail but with a good atty and a little luck you should be able to get home arrest

and AA and rehab are all good but i would think it should be as intense as possible.

It is 10 years, so if you get a DUI today it goes back 10 years.

When you got your DUI before it went back 7 years from the date of your past DUI.

The law is current from when you get your new DUI not when you had received your DUI in the past

they have to prove you had alcohol or drugs in your system that would make you under the influence...not drunk
