Q: My child got detention for not copying the title of the assignment from the board what should I do?

When the teacher gave him the detention slip he also gave some of his other student my son's friend from the same class for the same reason and the teacher put in the comment section of the detention slip: "failure to follow instruction".

I am not sure that there is an action that could be taken for the detention OR any attorney willing to take on this matter. You should review the school board policies and procedures. If it appears that a policy was violated, you can then address it with the teacher and / or school administration.... View More

Q: Is this a legal education practice?

The college I am attending (American College for Medical Careers, FL) is using another school's name (Salter, MA) which is owned by the same company (Premier Education Group) for financial aid purposes (fafsa). Is this legal?

Q: Is it legal for a private school to fine students $50 for the downloading of apps onto a school issued iPad?

School punishment such as detention, of course, is definitely appropriate but is the school allowed to fine students for downloading apps?

Q: Does an assistant principal have the right to go through your phone?

I got into a little trouble and my assistant principal told me to place all belongings on her desk and step out of her office. She then gave my phone to my mother and told her she went through all the messages and turned it off and I'm pretty sure that's an invasion of privacy

Q: If sons father goes to jail on a simply DV charge and hasn't bonded out and son resides with him what can the mother do?

Went through court already papers say in case of emergency child goes to mothers, but child is in school and mother lives in a different county can she transfer the son into a school by her till the father bonds out or gets out?

Q: How do I find a florida supreme court ruling from 1988 deling with intergrating public schools?

I was informed by the supertendent of a public school that my 10 year old could not enroll in a school choice program due to race. I want to read the lae that I am being told there is and can not find it. Should i contact an attourney?

Q: I want to sue the School board for a mistake that cost me my full scholarship. What kind of lawyer do I need?

I signed a full scholarship with a D-1 football team. The NCAA clearinghouse said I didn't qualify due to not enough credits, but I have more then enough. The school board didn't do their job to make sure that my alternative school was in their system, I lost my scholarship.
