Why would you be in trouble for being gay? If you are in an abusive relationship you need to get out and report it to the authorities. NJ is not going to extradite you for unpaid traffic tickets, so who cares what he says.

FA's do not prosecute TPO's. If the petitioner convinced the court they had no fear of the respondent, they would effectively be proving the exact opposite of what they need to.

The charges are based on the current allegations, not past acts. This doesn't mean you don't have a case, but it simply isn't based on whether this person is abusive generally, but rather if they hit you in this particular circumstance.

I called the police for the current domestic violence charges. I never called the police for the previous incidents which were more serious. Can I complain about the past domestic violence charges even though a police report was not filed? Is there a statute for domestic violence offenses?

If there are criminal charges pending past incidents are not relevant to the disposition of the pending case. If you've filed for a protective order, it may be appropriate to include past incidents to explain why you fear the domestic violence will happen again.
