Q: In a wreck. Other driver t-boned my vehicle. My vehicle is a total loss. His insurance company paid the car off.

Can I file a claim against my own insurance company and use that money to purchase a new vehicle?

Assuming they paid for the damage to the car, you can't file a second claim for the same thing--look at your policy.You would have a claim for your injury so contact a member of the La. Trial Lawyers Assn--they give free consults.

Q: My vehicle involved in a hit and run.parking lot of a casino captured on video nothing has been done.MY RIGHTS?

It is all on video. damages of over $3000 it captures even the individuals getting in their truck that hit me I only have liability on my car I cannot drive my car which means I cannot get to work

Q: What if I was in an auto accident in Louisiana and my final bill or notice of cancellation was within ten days of the

Turn it over to your insurance if a claim is made against you. She might be covered under your insurance, too.

I don't practice in LA, but, generally speaking, if the parties or insurance companies can't resolve it then a court will decide. Be well.

Q: can i be sued for damages from a car accident that was not my car??

I'm being sued for 23,000 worth of damages in a car accident I had in Dec. 2009. After getting a job last month I found out that this is on my credit report until 2019.

If you were the driver who caused the accident, the answer is "yes." It makes no difference that you were not the owner of the car.

If you were injured, you might wish to consult with an attorney to find out what your rights are. If you have been sued by the other driver, you most definitely need an attorney, and you should immediately notify your insurance company.
