Q: owner of small concrete company, summited a bid for a job never agreed to bid so didn't do the job, now they want to sue

we summited a bid, it is stated that if our bid is not signed within the 25 days it is voided. never heard back from them until 30 days later, then we sent a letter saying we were withdrawing from the project. Now they are trying to sue us for 150K. Nothing was signed or agreed upon.

If it wasn’t signed within twenty five days it seems you have a solid defense. Likewise, if nothing was signed or agreed upon you should be in solid ground. Unfortunately, that's all I have to go on. An attorney can evaluate your situation better all the information.

A Minnesota attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. I'm sorry about your injuries. It sounds like you took proper steps in initiating a workers' comp claim. In terms of the other hazards, you could discuss them with your workers' comp attorney if you... View More

It sounds like the are citing you for something. They do not generally mail warnings to someone. You will likely receive a citation at the address on your license. It would be wise to speak to an attorney to see if you can keep this off of your record.

A Minnesota attorney could advise in the best manner, but your question remains open for three weeks. As a general rule in virtually any jurisdiction, the homeowner does not get a windfall from the mistake of the county or its contractor in such a situation. Most anywhere, the gravel would be... I had a home renovation done ~2 years ago where the contractor removed some siding that has high lead levels in the paint. Fast-forward to today, my (new) daughter's lead test came back high (8.6). I'm trying to figure out what, if any, steps I could take against this contracting company... View More

I'm sorry for the high lead levels your daughter exhibited. You could contact a Minnesota injury attorney to discuss the matter in further detail, and it would be preferable if the attorney was experienced in toxic tort type of matters, involving exposure to hazardous substances. Given the... View More

I would note that the wording of your question is unclear. I am unsure if you are stating that you provided a warranty to the customer or that the manufacturer of the roofing materials provided a warranty to your customer. Although unclear based on the information provided, I would go by the terms... View More
