This is probably coming from a subrogation adjuster. Her license cannot be suspended until there is a judgment against her. However, they do have the right to pursue her for payment and may file suit if she does not make payment arrangements.

Is it legal for a police officer to walk on to a 4 lane road, point and wave at my car to pull over, without any flashing lights? A car behind me was honking for me to go faster. At the light, I sped up, and the car (NY license plate grey) was still right behind me, tailgating. I slowed down then... View More

Your friend may be an insured under your policy if he was a permissive driver. If the old guy was at fault, your friend should be suing him. I don't understand the reference to maggage (massage?) therapy. Why would your friend be making a claim against you if the old guy caused the... View More
I blocked another driver from passing me on a double yellow line approaching a curve on a very winding road. Once the other driver backed off, two cars almost immediately passed us going in the opposite direction.

A 18 wheeler left there lane in a no truck zone and did damage to my pick up truck down the whole bed of my truck, as I was passing it in the left lane on a double lane road in a traffic circle
answered on Dec 13, 2014
If the truck improperly left its lane of traffic striking another vehicle, then the driver of the vehicle will be "at fault" or negligent. The violation of a "no truck" zone will not be a factor in determining whose at fault unless the violation was causally related to the... View More

You may not have a reason to fight this. If it is your daughter's insurance company that made the determination, that means that the insurance will be doing what it is suppose to do - insuring the driver/owner of the vehicle. Your daughter may have rights to sue the other driver for any... View More

This question is more complicated than one might think. First there is a question as to which driver caused the accident, or if both drivers caused the accident. It also depends on whether there may be other underinsured or uninsured motorists policies that may come into play. You would want to... View More

In Virginia the normal rule is that you are not covered for Workers Compensation for traveling to and from work. However, there are many exceptions to this rule. For example, if you are on a special errand for your employer you would probably be covered. For more information check my website at... View More

Yes, you should consult a lawyer. While it is possible to handle a case on your own, it sounds like you are being sued in Circuit Court, in which case there is probably a good bit of money on the line. A lawyer can help you get the best out of the situation.
