A lawyer cannot counsel you to fail to turn yourself over to authorities. It seems that there are two issues here: (1) whether your employer violated the law in firing you and (2) whether they violated the law by allegedly failing to credit you your PTO time. When served with a divorce petition, you have thirty days to file an Answer with the Court. You must serve a copy of the Answer on your spouse's attorney - it would also be a good idea to keep a copy for your records.
