I didn't get arrested, I was able to drive away from it. I was issued a citation to appear in court in a month. My only other ticket on record is a speeding ticket (10mph over) from 5 years ago. Can I renew my license before my court date? And is there any chance I could get court supervision?

Yes and yes to both questions.
Around nighttime still evening, I was At a stoplight and the light turned green. As I noticed I stepped on the gas and went up to 40 and a cop siren was flashed. Me nervous and scared, the cop asked me for ID and drivers license. He asked me was i in a hurry, I said no. He said you know you went up... View More

You will be pleading guilty to a misdemeanor, a criminal offense. You should have a lawyer, who can also arrange a payment plan. This is not a do it yourself project.
My daughter is turning 18 in less than a month. She received one moving violation, and has taken the online drivers improvement course. She just now received another ticket for getting up to speed right before the speed limit sign. How can we keep her from getting suspended?

Same as the first one. Even if she is convicted she won’t be suspended.
For dui case state says I have 14 days to respond to get a blow machine and get a work permit I don’t have court for 2 more weeks or ignore the letters and let my lawyer take care of it just don’t want to hurt myself

You have a lawyer. Ask him or her. It’s possible they’re expecting the suspension to get dropped. If it isn’t, and you don’t send in the paperwork pretty soon, you’re going to be without a permit for a while
Pleading guilty and requesting court supervision or asking for trial, getting an attorney and hope the cop doesn’t show? What are is the percentage state police don’t show?

Any state trooper who did not show up for one of these would probably get fired. It's a big deal.
I am a WI resident, and got a ticket for going 15 over in IL. The cop even said my record is pristine. I don’t want to just pay the fine, or go to traffic school. If I show up to my court date - could the judge just dismiss it since it’s a first time offense? I don’t want points added to my... View More

Very unlikely because if everyone’s first offense was dismissed, nobody would ever have a second offense. There may be a few counties that will reduce the charge to a non moving violation but most of them require traffic school or some form of court supervision. If you were in Illinois driver,... All other information is correct - but the vehicle model is incorrect. Would simply arguing that the plate number is not registered to that vehicle be enough?

Not necessarily but not automatically. And the state might, if they discover the error before trial, correct the information.
Last summer I was in an accident where I got a ticket for “driving too fast for conditions.” In hindsight I should’ve fought it because I fell asleep at the wheel so my speed had nothing to do with it, but whatever. Since then, I’ve gotten two speeding tickets. I’m aware that three... View More

You need supervision on one of them.
I owe too many traffic fines from red light camera tickets and currently don't work. I feel harassed by these traffic fines also. I've read these types of cases have been challenged in other states and most stares can no longer revoke a DL anymore for failure to pay ticket fines

I just want to know if my license will be suspended. I have a good driving record that's why I got put on court supervision for a no insurance ticket. I was running late for a college night class and was doing 10 over and the cop said I was doing 15 over. Should I be worried I'll lose my... View More

Ask for supervision. You should be OK
answered on Mar 29, 2021
You will have to have an administrative hearing with the Illinois Secretary of State. It should be an informal hearing.
You will be required to you obtain a drug and alcohol evaluation and take any recommended classes. Those classes may lead to additional requirements. This is not a good... View More
was arrested for dui but not convicted, completed state requirments and one year probation
answered on Mar 23, 2021
If you were placed on probation, you were convicted. If you were placed on supervision, you were not convicted. The supervision will be visible only to law-enforcement and the Secretary of State and the states attorney. And once the statutory summary suspension has terminated, it will not be... View More
I received 3 speeding tickets 06/2019, 02/2020 and 03/2020. Due to Covid, I did not have to plead guilty to the third ticket until December 2020. The length of the suspension depends upon how many points you will have accumulated. That depends on the nature of the tickets and how fast over the limit you were going. Ticket will probably be dropped if you show up in court. Other driver most likely will not show.
And received a speeding and driving on suspended the driving was paid and thrown out now illinois wants to give me a 3 year suspension what can I do
answered on Mar 4, 2021
From your question, it appears that you received a DUI in Illinois, your second one within five years, and refused the breath test. That resulted in a three year suspension to start out with.
Now Florida has reported to Illinois that you were driving. That violates the driving while... View More
As above, clean record. Cop cited me for 2,500$ but class B only denotes 1500$ max. Is there a way I can keep this off my record as I need a clean background check for work.
answered on Mar 1, 2021
The $2500 has nothing to do with the fine. You need a lawyer who understands the law.

Yes.
Also didnt fill out the vehicle section

Depending upon how that is handled, it could be a basis for a not guilty finding but the chances are the prosecutor can fix it. You really need to get the services of a lawyer to delve into the details
I was pulled over in a 25 going 51 in IL.

Not beyond the realm of possibility that a lawyer could get the state to reduce it to 25 over (not a misdemeanor) and supervision.

Because it’s arguable that she failed to maintain control over vehicle, failed to reduce speed to avoid an accident, drove too fast for conditions and other possible violations. The state has to prove those but the fact that it was a one vehicle accident does not constitute a defense
