Q: Can I give my wife the house in the divorce and have my name removed?

My and my wife are talking about getting a divorce (uncontested). The only thing we own Jointly is the House. I want her to get the house in the divorce and have my name removed from it. I want to agree to pay her the amount of her mortgage every month. Is this possible?

Q: a quit claim deed was filed in georgia 2013 from a divorce

If the spouse that has ownership refuses to refinance to remove the other parties name, what can be done? Also in 2014 the ownership added another person to a separate quit claim deed but not mortgage. What do i do to remove myself from financial responsibilities.

If the father has not legitimized, the mother is the only one who has custody. Therefore she can move as she pleases.

No!!! Unless your divorce decree says otherwise, child support stops when the child turns 18 or graduates from high school, whichever one occurs last.

I think if the payor is habitually late and there are repeated requests for timely payment, and you can show the Court the negative effect on you, it is likely that the Court will hold the payor in contempt. And yes, garnishment is an option.

All property acquired during the marriage is considered to be marital property, regardless of whose name the property is in. So you have just as much right to be there.
