Q: Hello, my question is based on software developers, and application ownership and protection of application's the idea.

Hello, my question is basically based on software developers, and I was wondering if you could help me know a few things I would really have to know.So the thing is, I want to hire a software developer to build a mobile application for me and I am really worried about the payment process in that, he told me I needed to pay half the fee for starters, and pay the rest on collecting it. My worry is that I am being a little bit skeptical on giving him the money and either having him get away with the money without building the application or merely him building the application below my expectations. The person also currently works and I was worried that, after him successfully building the application, the company he works for, might claim the application which he build for me, as theirs. If you're willing to, could you help me successfully make these worries go away? Are there any documents I have to make the software developer sign to hand over any ownership of the application?

A: Your questions and concerns are not the type that get answered for free on the internet. You need to retain a busines/IP attorney to advise you.

A: You have to decide how you want to do business. The developer could be worried that you may not want to take delivery and pay after he spends the time and effort to do the development.

The legal issues need to be addressed by an attorney.
