Q: So I been living at my house for 17 years since I was 15 the man passed away can they kick me out with no eviction

I have no family he took care of me and payed all my bills I don't know what to do he did everything for me for 17 years

A: I would think YES they have to "evict" you. That's likely to happen FAST. At 30+ years old, now is as good a time as any to go and grow up and join the adult community out there and experience the outside world! Sorry for your loss. Good luck with you!

A: No, you cannot be kicked out without some kind of legal proceeding first. I suggest you contact a probate lawyer or law firm to find out what rights you may have. The deceased may have made provisions for you in his will, and if so, you need help finding out what your rights are. If there is an estate proceeding to wind up the affairs of the deceased, you can go to the probate court clerk's office and ask for a copy of the will. You will be charged a fee for getting a copy, but then you can take that to a probate lawyer and ask for help to know what your rights may be.
