Q: If I got demoted after a manager was inappropriate with me & HR did nothing bc I was within my 90-day prob; harassment?
By inappropriate, I mean showed me his genitals. I was told I could take a demotion or get fired because I was in the probationary period, and they are an at-will employer. I stayed on-board, but the only job option I could move to was one where that manager could watch me on camera all day. They sighted my release/ transfer as if I wasn't competent enough for the position, yet my replacement was not keeping up with my skill level. I was also the only woman, minority, and person with children in the office. I didn't think that was a problem until the new hire was onboarded and I could see the blatant difference of treatment.
