Q: My neighbor has a kennel that is unattended and dogs bark all night. What can I do?

I have an autistic grand daughter who is not sleeping and makes it hard to get her up for school.

1). Take a criminal complaint for the nuisance barking. 2) contact animal

Control and ask them to investigate. 3). Contact inspections, permits and licensing and see if the neighbor has a kennel license to operate such facility.

You can sue the neighbors for their injuries, medical, etc.

Q: School bus hit my dog while speeding down a 1 lane road. The dog was not in the road he way laying next to it.

Who’s responsible. Dog has been at the vet for 1 week and will more than likely have to have his leg amputated tomorrow.

Q: My neighbor has threatened to kill my large guardian dog because of his barking. Is there anything I can do?

Keep the small dog away from the pit bull and call Animal Control about the pit. All dogs must be on a leash and under the owners control at all times.

Q: My neighbor two dogs live in a kennel. I want to help the dogs. What can I do ?

They live in kennel. They have food,water and kennel. The don't get human contact or exercise

Unfortunately, those are sufficient for their protection under the law. I doubt there’s much you can do.

Q: How can I find leash laws for dogs in Kentucky? I live in Kenton county.

Q: My dog went into neighbors yard and was horribly attacked. Neither on leashes and no fence Who is responsible for bills?

Both dogs were in their yards, no leashes. They both locked eyes and ran towards each other. It was right on the property line of their yard and our neighbors yard. Our dog is about 10lbs and this was a huge pit bull.

Q: Gave my dog away now animal control wants me to claim him, do I have to call them back?

If not my dog anymore why do I have to claim him? Dog can not come back to our house because he is dangerous around our baby.

Why not claim him to avoid charges, them properly surrender him or her to a rescue who can rehome him or her? Problem solved all around.

Q: We purchased an 8 wk goldendoodle from breeder in KY. We picked him up on 6/10/21, had papers from breeder/vet.

Puppy DX w/parvo 2nd day we had him, is there any liability that goes back to breeder? Puppy made it home after being at vet hospital for 6 days

It depends on the terms of your contract with the breeder. It should set out the terms and responsibilities of both parties.

You don’t need a law passed. Just shoot it next time it’s on your property.

Q: Neighbors dog has now killed four of our goats. Do they have to pay us for our loss?

They can’t keep the dog in it gets free all the time. I’m in fear of it going after one of my children next. Can I legally shoot it if it steps one paw on the property? It’s so fast and the last goat it killed was right in front of my children.

Depends on any local leash laws you may have, but you can legally shoot it if it comes freely onto your property.
