Q: Can my small dog run free in my yard not vicious or will bite outside city limits

Your dog can run free only if you have a fenced yard. Otherwise he needs to be walked on a leash.

Q: What do I do to get my dog back from my ex that refuses to give him and has a protective order against me in Louisiana?

I am the true owner, I am registered in his AKC registration, all vet bills, payments, etc. He means the world to me.

Actually had EXACTLY that experience with a collie puppy about 10 years ago. I made a complaint to AKC, the Vet she used for vaccinations, Louisiana Dept of Ag and a civil suit with the Justice of the Peace in the breeders parish.

Hahaha no. They can't sue you for dog statutory rape either. But they can get your dog picked up for not being on a leash or behind a fence.

File a criminal complaint if this psycho shot a deadly weapon through your fence. Then file a civil suit against him with the justice of the peace for vet bills, the price you paid to buy, license, vaccinate, groom, bathe, and feed the dog every year. In other words attach a spread sheet.

Q: Recently a new neighbor moved in with a pitbull and yorkie in Kenner. No leashing. Chases neighborhood cats. Options?

The pitbull has been seen across the street and been seen chasing the local feral cats. We have children in the area as well I worry about. At best the dogs are caged most the day but let loose to run free multiple times a day with no fences.

Take photos of the dog crapping in your yard, running loose, chasing cats, chasing kids, chasing dogs. THEN file a complaint with animal control.

Q: Who should I report this to if my neighbors pit bull killed my dog on their property?

The pit bulls aren't in cages or on a leash. My dog wandered near my neighbors yard and their 2 pit bulls tore my dog up. Who can I contact for this? What do I do?

1) Make a criminal complaint with Sheriff's and Animal Control.

2) Put up fence for any dogs you may own in future.

3) Take pictures.

4) File suit with the Justice of the Peace for purchase price for your dog and any vet bills.

The dog belongs to the jail bird's heirs (kids, spouse or parents). If you don't know who they are, then take the dog to get shots and a license in your name and keep the receipts.

Check with the Humane Society if your dog goes missing. Get a copy of your dogs veterinarian records. Go file suit with your Justice of the Peace for Conversion.

microchip in my name, vet records and registration papers in my name. sheriff's office refused to intervene despite paperwork, stating civil matter.

Tell them no, get the dog licensed and shots, try to get them to admit in person or on the phone that they gave you the dog, and record it.

If he's your dog, then of course you can get vaccination and license records from your Veterinarian or the Humane Society and a receipt for purchase or adoption from the ASPCA that you can take to the Sheriff's Office to file a theft complaint. Then you can build a fence around your yard

Call the Sheriff's Office and Animal Control because their Pitts will kill your dog eventually. Video the holes in the fence. Put the video on a flash drive.
