Q: Can the State be sued for releasing someone who murdered previously and then murdered again 2 months after release?

My brother was murdered. His

murderer killed a woman before- served 10 years... and was released back into society only to kill again 2 months after his release. Can someone be held responsible?

No. The courts and parole board make those decisions and both are immune from suit unless the release was due to negligent error. Then you might be able to sue the state.

Q: Our ex son in law is going to sue us the grandparents for a wrongful death/neglect of our grandson in A ATV accident.

You contact your homeowners insurance. They will handle it. They will get you an attorney. That is what insurance is for.

Q: A friend of mine, son died in a house fire at his girlfriend's home, her father owed. She and his best friend made it.

Can his mom sue faulty wiring? Wrongful death? Home was apparently redone by Insurance co.. Story made the news several times she set up fraudulent go fund pages using his name. His mother is now ill mentally.

Q: Will my sister be able to evict me if she has the right of attorney to my fathers home?

My mother murdered my father in march and wasn't arrested until July for it. She is currently waiting a court date. My Mother gave my sister the right to attorney on her behalf.

Power of attorney isn't the same as ownership. You need to speak with an attorney--suggest you contact a member of the Md. Assn for Justice--they give free consultations.

Q: Question for a friend - her son died in an accident and he was married but didn't have any children.

She'd like to sue to get some money from the settlement - can she do that as the person's mother, or does it all go to the spouse?

In Maryland, under the wrongful death statute, your friend who is the mother of an adult child, does have an absolute right to be part of a wrongful death claim for the loss of her son.
