Q: Can i dropout of high school at 17 in Iowa without parental consent?

The legal age to drop out of high school without parental consent is 18 years old.

If the child is going to remain with you, then the appropriate steps would be to;

1. File a Motion to terminate with Court who currently has jurisdiction over the case.

They can, but should they, probably not. Of course children seldom tell the entire story or accurately. I would not charge head-strong into the school planning on attacking the teacher.
