Over to a shelter to be adopted out or potentially euthanized or am I able to continue fostering them until an owner comes forward. Also at what point does the owner no longer have rights?

You can foster them indefinitely. If they are not microchipped, they probably will not be claimed. If they haven been claimed within 60-90 days, I think they’re your dogs.
From the local PD That he could go to jail because our dogs were barking & someone said our dogs were locked up in the building and it was animal abuse .. the dogs are mine & we had one of them in the building for a few days because she got attacked at my moms house by another dog .. You can apply for a kennel license with your local animal control administrator.

They chase the livestock and cause a nuisance.

Contact your local Animal Control and report the nuisance to them.
They did have food water and shelter. The guy that took them didn't leave a notice when he did either so they simply gave us the dogs back all we had to do was pay for a rabies shot for momma dog. But for future reference was it with in the law for them take them?

It probably was not legal but since you got the dogs back, it would cost an exorbitant amount to litigate the issue.
I had my puppy her mom and two siblings staying at my dad's house. They had food water and shelter. We went out day by day to care for spent time with them. Sometimes multiple times daring the day. I found out a day ago animal control came and took momma off her leash and collar. Removed the... View More

Depends on whether the dogs had food, water and shelter with Animal Control arrived there. You’ll need a lawyer for this case.
I have been doing this for several months now, I have had him groomed. When I take him back they only keep him one day and then call me to come back and get him. My friend has stated that the dog is not allowed to make noises nor are they allowed to have animals at their residence. There is always... View More
Transported to the local animal shelter. The citizens of our county have figured out that this is a way to get rid of unwanted dogs to the shelter without having to pay a surrender fee which is causing our shelter to be inundated with excess dogs . We currently have 69. Citizens just call the... View More
She’s had the dog for about 6 months, now someone random on Facebook is saying that MK stole the dog from her daughter. (No body has said anything or claimed stolen until now) obviously no microchip because they would’ve found him for ever ago if it’s even true.
My sister has taken... View More

You should have a travel health certificate from a Mo vet certifying that he has had all of his shots up to date, including rabies, and you should be fine.

You can keep the kitten. She abandoned him. You might want to take the cat to the vet and have him chipped. That can help establish ownership.

Take a look at Kentucky Administrative Regulations 301, Section 2:032 et seq.
Found a dog on an abandoned homes’ porch yesterday evening. No one in the area seems to have seen it before. It was obviously very scared of people and wouldn’t let anyone get near it. I felt bad for it so I fed it and let it warm up to me and brought it home so I knew it would be safe and have... View More

Within s reasonable time is how long they have to claim. You cannot get it trouble for providing the dog food, water and shelter. If no one claims the dog, you can keep the dog or, if not an option, deliver the dog to a shelter or rescue for rehiring.
Turns out the shelter violated the mandatory hold law and let me adopt the stray puppy aftr 3 days at the shelter. I dont want to give it back he is part of the family now and my son adores him and calls him buddy. What do i legally have to do
answered on Jul 24, 2019
You can keep the puppy or you can give the puppy back. You are fine either way. The shelter is the one with the problem if they adopted him out too soon. Although, you may want to consider the length of time the puppy had been with the prior owner, how the puppy got loose, and whether your son... View More

I had two dogs that were from the same litter. The first dog, I still have, I got at 6 weeks old and then the second dog I got from 8 weeks, they're again siblings. If you have proof that the second dog was yours (ie vet records, registration papers etc), you can sue the woman and probably get the dog back.

Depending on the ordinances in your area, you may be liable for damages to the car.
