No. If you provided proof to the clerk, you do not have to attend.

I just got cited for speeding 10 mph over the speed limit and having no insurance at the time. What would be the outcome and would I need to hire an attorney?

Speeding is $20 fine plus court costs. No insurance first is up to a $500 fine plus court costs. You should hire a attorney to handle.
I have a court date February 22.This is my first speeding ticket will I get my license taken away? Can I get the ticket shelved? Like what do I do?

As a 17 year old if you plead to offense with 6 points or more you could be subject to suspension. I would contact an Attorney to represent you.

I would recommend hiring an attorney and attempting to get the charge amended down to a lower offense that will not suspend your license.
Even though I didn’t get a ticket

If he did not get a ticket or a citation then you will not get any points on your license. It sounds like the police officer just let you go.

Get everything corrected, take all the proof of correction to the court, snd no one goes to jail. Small fine and court costs likrly.

No, you’ll have to redocket it and go to court to resolve it now.

The costs are assessed bc by prepaying the ticket, you are pleading guilty and being penalized for the fine and court costs of administration.
