I am not sure of your exact question. Review your lease agreement
I thought all fines are wiped clean when you go to prison. But originally my license was suspended from a no seatbelt ticket that a cop gave me when I was the passenger in my friends truck and we have been parked and already sitting in parking lot. Forgot about the court date and I ended up paying... View More

Well, there is no such things as a class c felony in Texas but it is possible to have an old conviction affect your ability to get a driver's license. Calling a lawyer in your area might help. Good luck.
The ticket was for driving with no license. I didn’t pay and got a warrant out for my arrest. I was 18 years old. I hired a lawyer years later and I got a document that says the Dismissal After Motion By Prosecutor was ordered , adjudged, and Decreed by the court and hereby dismissed. But stapled... View More

Can I come off of bond if I haven't been indicated in the last 9 months or my case dismissed?

A Texas attorney could advise best, but your question remains open for two weeks. This is posted under "Traffic Tickets, Car Accidents and Child Support." You could repost and add "Criminal Law" as a category - better chances of a reply under that heading. Good luck
I was pulled over for speeding and was given a citation for speeding at 68 in a 40, they supposedly clocked me from the right when i was in the inside lane. I believe i saw a person next to me going faster than I was.

Many modern automobiles have an event data recorder. You might be able to have information about your speed downloaded to show you were not going 68 mph
I was pulled over because the officer said I pulled too far past the white line at a stop sign (which I did not ) he immediately asked to walk the dog around my truck I said no but they still did. He never even asked me for my license and registration also during the stop he asked me who was inside... View More

If your attorney is uncommunicative and did not appear for a hearing he knew about, you should strongly consider firing him and hiring a different attorney.

The answer to your question is yes, you could be mailed a citation ut the question I would have is: why wouldn't the office give you the citation at the scene? Call an attorney if you receive anything in the mail. Good luck.
If I was never given a ticket or sign the ticket because I was never given a ticket how can I have a failure to appear against me if I did not know I needed to appear because there was no citation given to me but now I have a failure to appear and they claim that they have an unsigned ticket what... No one in this forum can accurately comment on your specific situation, but you have the right to contest the matter if you believe you did not commit an offense. Contact the court and request a hearing. Calling an attorney might help. Good luck.

The answer to your question would require a look at the ordinances and the language defining the extra-territorial jurisdictions. Usually, all are enforceable.

The short answer is yes, an officer can take a person into custody for a traffic offense instead of issuing a citation (except for speeding)
the ticket has not been filed and doesn't show up on records to pay it/check the status. will the ticket be dismissed or do i just have to wait to see if it gets filed?
answered on Dec 15, 2022
If you just pay the ticket, it will be recorded as a conviction an entered on your driving record. Call an attorney may help. Good luck.

I am not sure what "escalated" means. What was the disposition of the matter? Talk with your attorney. Good luck.
I got two tickets by the same cop, he wrote a ticket for displaying a “fictitious” registration, but also gave me a ticket for the “fictitious” registration being expired. I no longer own that car, but I thought cops couldn’t give you two different tickets for one thing?

Short answer: yes. Get your registration corrected and take it to the court as directed on the citation. Calling an attorney may help. Good luck.
Fail to signal lane change, unsafe start from parked/stopped/standing, and driver disregarded police officer or crossing. Issues by mail. Never encountered police or was pulled over. I am not sure of your exact question. Who is the person named in the citation?
I tried to pay the $3 fee per their instructions at the lot by texting. They never responded to 2 texts and I still have the texts to prove that. They sent a letter saying I owe $82 now and they will boot or tow my car if I do not pay that. Can they do that? It seems illegal since it is not a city... View More

Short answer, yes, your car can be towed even if it is in a private parking lot. Hypothetical: if someone parked their car in the private driveway of your home and left it there, do you feel you could have the car towed?
As soon as I parked there a motorcycle traffic coo pulled up in 5 seconds and gave me a ticket. I said I'm not using the spot just calming my kid as he was throwing a fit.

The short answer to your question is yes. Parking violations included parking, standing, or stopping a vehicle as defined in the Texas Transportation Code.

The citation (ticket) is merely notice of when and where to appear in court. The questions is whether there are any defects in the charging instrument (the complaint) and whether those defects are material.
