You're most likely looking at a monetary fine with suspended jail time (meaning as long as you pay your fine and don't get in more trouble you won't have to serve any jail time).
I only got a no insurance ticket for my parents car, but now have my own car with insurance. No other tickets were given to me. What should I do?

I live in South Dakota most of the time but my vehicle remains here and I insure it through Mn. Is there a problem with this, because I do plan on getting a sd license but the car will remain in mn.

If you regularly drive it to South Dakota that should be noted. However if it's only used in Mn, is kept there, I don't see a problem.
