When there is insurance and a government entity involved in a crash, you should get the representation by a qualified attorney in your area. There are notices and procedures to follow. Got in a self accident due to losing control of car and was ticketed reckless driving. At the time I did not have insurance and refused an breatherlyzer after passing the sobriety test. Do I need a lawyer?
answered on Jul 18, 2017
You should probably retain counsel.
A refusal conviction carries a mandatory one year suspension of your operator's license.
Are they going to Suspend my Licenses? and in this situation would it be best to get a Lawyer?
answered on Jun 29, 2017
Suspension depends on points total on your license. Reckless you will be if you don't get a lawyer for a reckless charge. Definitely the best course is to get a lawyer.

Don't see why not. Presumably the client wants the attorney to get more.
Without talking to the client
answered on Jun 28, 2017
I cannot imagine a situation where this could happen. I always discuss any offer with a client and recommend that they allow me authority to accept any amount above a certain figure when we are in a position to make a final counter demand.

And has put a lien on any money that I am I'm going to get what should I do
answered on Jun 20, 2017
If the attorney was fired for cause, the lien may not be valid. Otherwise, it must be reasonably based on the amount of work done by the attorney. If you are retaining another attorney, they can assist you in the process of validating the lien.

The case cannot settle without you signing a release.
Schedule an appointment to discuss the settlement process with your attorney.

Possible but unlikely. If you do plead not guilty.
However, possible one of the others may be responsible for your damages. Why not contact a member of the Va. Trial Lawyers Assn? They give free consults.

He had an automatic right to appeal and have a new trial in circuit court.
Most likely, he or his attorney (if he was represented) hopes for a better outcome on appeal.

You are entitled to medical treatment; not pain and suffering. The scar could possibly qualify for a minor award if it is permanent and significant. It is also possible that the employer's insurance carrier may offer a settlement to close out the claim and terminate any future benefits.
If its not put in a trust is their another type of account it would be in. I found out late in life about the money being owed to me. I remember the accident though. Could anyone else have claimed this ? Thank you

If there was a substantial settlement while you were a minor, there should have been a hearing for court approval of the settlement. Your parents/guardians would have been notified. The court may have appointed a guardian for you.
Check with the circuit court clerk's office. That is... View More

I tried to pass a slow car in a no passing zone of a two-lane road (illegal, but safe: the road is straight), but the other driver didn’t let me, so I followed him at a safe distance. At the next stop sign, he parked, walked to my car, opened fully my door screaming at me for a minute saying that... View More

You are going to the police to tell them he is a road rage issue --perhaps tell them you don't want to press charges, but what he did isn't good.
That being said, twro wrongs don't make a passing on the right, so don't do it!
