Q: I was stopped at a traffic stop at 4AM. They stayed my license plate light was out. Fast forward they ended up searching

Nothing was found in the vehicle. I still ended up with two tickets after my rights were violated. It is also all on video.

Q: If a traffic light turns yellow at the instant you are at the intersection is it law to stop if no safe way to do so.

Was involved in an accident and cited for failure to obey traffic control device. Going straight thru the intersection and another vehicle turned left from oncoming traffic in front of me.

Q: If u don't pay off your tickets by time you file taxes won't they automatically be taken from the tax money? When u file

I believe i was told by the court house that if couldnt finish paying tickets by tax time then it would come out of tax return Im just wondering if they take care of it when you file or when the money comes

The state can't intercept your federal refund. West Virginia will offset your state refund if you have unpaid fines. They have to send you a letter and then wait 90 days. They're supposed to anyway. They take out an extra $25 for their troubles. If this is a concern I would file an... View More

Q: If you are turning from a public road to a private one who has the right of way??

At any intersection, the same rules under WV law apply. Your question did not indicate if the person turning was turning left or right. However, if turning left, that motorist must yield to oncoming traffic before executing the turn.
