The pull over was in Peoria, I knew they had been suspended before but they were still suspended due to financial reasons out of my control and since I’m in college and was not working at the time so I had to depend on my parents to pay things for me.

Go to court with your cleared license and make sure it is valid on the day you appear in court. See what the prosecutor is offering. Sometimes they will dismiss this type of charge and sometimes they will not. You really should hire a local attorney to assist you with this matter because that... View More
Prosecutor? Mine happened on private property and my attorney is reluctant to file the petition to rescind SSS because he says the don't all get sent. I dont agree nor believe that. I'm going to fire him and I just hired him.

What? It does not matter if your attorney files a Petition to Rescind. It is up to the officer to send the paperwork into the Sec. Of State Office. Your attorney really needs to file a Petition to Rescind right away. If he will not, you should hire someone that will and right away.

You or your attorney need to file a Motion to Vacate whatever happened in Court on the 7th and give proper notice to the prosecutor. On the hearing date, you need to appear in court and hopefully the Judge will grant your Motion to Vacate. This all works better with an attorney assisting you. The... View More

Once a defendant fails to appear in court, on that day the Judge will issue a warrant and continue the matter for at least 30 days for judgment on the forfeited bond previously posted. On the Judgment date, if the defendant fails to still appear in court, the bond will be forfeited and the judgment... View More
I got a speeding ticket going 73 in a 55 what are the penalties I could face will they just count the court supervision because it is 6 days from ending as I have a rather clean driving record.

answered on Aug 15, 2019
You are allowed two Court Supervision every 12 months. Typically, Court Supervision will not violate another Court Supervision. In this case, it is not likely that they will will revoke your current Court Supervision due to the time frame. You should appear in court on the new ticket and request... View More
under 21 and i have 2 supervisions (both for speeding ) . Could i possibly keep extending the court date of the new ticket so that I can clear my Supervisions ?

answered on Aug 13, 2019
You could try but you will likely run into some issues attempting this. You should hire an attorney to assist you with this new ticket given your driving history and your age.
May I ask for court supervision on any of these tickets? And if so which one? It seems if I ask for it on the 1st ticket, it could be revoked due to the 2nd and 3rd ticket.

answered on Aug 12, 2019
You are allowed two court supervisions every 12 months, so you can ask for court Supervision on two of the three tickets. I suggest asking on the first two you have to appear in court on.
I have court in the morning and on judici it says petition for increase
amount of bond, motion to be heard

answered on Aug 12, 2019
It means just what it says. The prosecutor filed a motion to increase or modify your bond, so you should be prepared to address it when you are in court. You should notify your attorney right away. If you have not hired an attorney yet, you should do so right away.

No, you should not contact the Judge. You could contact the prosecutor and tell them your issue and they could bring it up with the Judge.
I got a DUI a couple months back, and the judge gave me a plea deal which would make my charge a misdemeanor. Whenever I got the DUI, I didn’t have my license at the time. What? Your scenario does not make any sense. You need to discuss all of this with your attorney, which I am assuming you have since you had some sort of plea deal. If you do not have an attorney, you need to hire one right away.

I moved to Illinois a few months ago and was pulled over for failure to use turn signal. My insurance had just expired and had not yet been renewed as I was looking for cheaper insurance. What is 1st offense penalty of driving with no insurance?

answered on Aug 6, 2019
First, you must bring proof of insurance with you to court, even if it is after you received the ticket. Second, if this is truly your first offense, you will be eligible for Court Supervision and a fine. Finally, if this is not your first no insurance ticket, you are looking at a license... View More
I am under 21 and am trying to avoid getting my license suspended as I work and go to school. I have done & completed supervision for the 10/18 ticket. I’m not sure if supervision is over for the 2/19 ticket. What can I do to avoid suspension?

answered on Aug 5, 2019
You should be fine, but you need to slow down because this new ticket will result in a conviction and if you receive two moving violation convictions in a 24 month period, you will lose your license.

First, you should never just pay a moving violation ticket because it will likely result in the increase in your insurance premiums and could lead to a suspension of your license.
