Hi! This isn't really a question, you may want to reword your post.
You should read over your engagement letter for the accounting firm to see their fees and if they have a clause stating that they could charge more for complex returns or if, like my firm, they do part upfront and... View More
My husband and I are divorcing. He never filed 2021 taxes. I went ahead and filed those taxes 2 weeks ago. I filed married but separate. My lawyer is not able to give me tax information. I don't know how to proceed. My husband is facing possible criminal prosecution. I separated from him 2... View More

if you are married you are able to file married, filing separate unless otherwise ordered by the court
I know a loan on my house was done when I was in prison. and this same person remarried myself and Logue. I thought I was divorced in 2012. But I have been supporting him and his other females unknown to me. My trust I had got wiped clean and now I'm over 20,000 in debt

if you are asking specifically regarding the IRS or State you can call, confirm your identity, and see who has an active Power of Attorney on your account. The representatives you speak to should be able to give guidance on how to revoke that power as well.

To add a little bit to Linda's response - you could even get a little ahead by filling out an IRS Form 911. This is a written request for TPA help. Have that form completed when you call in and they will be able to give you more guidance on if you should mail or fax it in.
I have been on disability for over a year. I owe $20,000 in back taxes and around $9,000 in penalties and fees. Qualifier notes that I qualify for an "offer in compromise" but most websites say it takes 6 months to get it approved. I am expecting a W.C. settlement soon... But would like... View More

Unfortunately the IRS is still delayed when it comes to their backlog. Things such as resolution proposals, including an OIC, can take some time to be processed through their systems and assigned to a representative for review. I would say it's safe to say 6 months is a good estimate, however... View More

Not having a 1099 does not mean you can skip reporting the income made. As you likely are aware this is considered self-employment work (if you've made $600 or more) and should be tracked/ reported accordingly. You can do so by filing out a schedule C. Here you will be able to account for the... View More

it is unlikely you will be pursed criminally for missing returns unless something else is going on. However it is possible that the IRS and/or State may file a substitute for return on your behalf. When the IRS and/or State takes this action, they utilize the wage and financial information that has... View More
