If you are making a work comp claim for these conditions they have a right to see the records to make sure it is work-related. They may ask you to sign a medical release so they can get the records. This is normal procedure and it’s ok to sign a medical release only.

This is governed by Iowa Administrative Code 876-4.27 and 4.28 and 4.30.
Please note there is a short deadline to appeal.
I was tricked into doing work for a small business before they officially made me an employee. Now I'm not getting paid. I'm not sure if I can even do anything since I'm not technically an employee and don't have workers rights. I've racked up about three weeks of full-time work unpaid.

If you are missing work due to an authorized treating physician restricting you from work or the employer is unable to accommodate restrictions from the doctor, then you should be paid. If you are taking time off without an authorized doctor's excuse then they do not have to pay you work comp
