A: Your post suggests many violations of the Labor Code by your employer. Your legal options are many. It would be a very wise move for you to locate and consult with an experienced employment law attorney as soon as possible to explore your facts and determine your options. I would suggest you look either on this site, or go to www.cela.org, the home page for the California Employment Lawyers Association, an organization whose members are dedicated to the representation of employees against their employers.

Most employment attorneys who practice this area of law offer a free or low cost consultation in the beginning and then, if the matter has merit and value, will usually agree to work on a contingency basis, meaning you can hire an attorney without paying any money until the matter results in a positive outcome for you. Many advance all the costs of the litigation as well. Do not let fear of fees and costs keep you from finding a good attorney.

Good luck to you.

A: The first thing you should do is to go to the California Labor Commissioner's website (https://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/) and file a claim for all of your unpaid wages and everything else you have to claim.

Once the Labor Commissioner investigates your employer, they will find every violation of California's labor laws which have been committed, and will force the employer to pay you every penny to which you are entitled.

Then you can look for a good employment lawyer who is familiar with the labor laws in California. For that, you can search for the California Employment Lawyers Association website (https://cela.org/) and look for attorneys near you. Or you can go to your local county bar association's website and do the same kind of search. I couldn't locate a city in California with the name Keiser, so maybe you misspelled the name. However, if you are referring to a city in Oregon, you will have to look for an attorney licensed to practice in Oregon, not California.
