Most commonly if you are disabled.

There may be benefits for older adults with young children.

Costs nothing to call Social Security direct.

Q: My disabled husband who pays his child support out of his disability has been arrested. What can we do about this?

The sheriff's department says that he has a $1,400 warrant for failure to pay child support. All of his children get a portion of his social security allowance, though. What do we have to do to get him out of jail?

Start by talking to child support enforcement. If he has a fixed income, seems the child support should have been adjusted. Something missing here.

If, so, you can do it at a Social Security Office or, in some cases, online.

No.

But every year Social Security adjusts benefits to add a cost of living increase.

To your basic question, no you can't move to New York City and ask for higher benefits because your cost of living went up.

Hire an experienced Workers' Compensation attorney. I do not understand what you mean when you say "the Guaranty Fund was no help." The Fund has an obligation to defend any claims pending with an insurer that folds. The appropriate Motion before the IWCC will bring them to the... View More

You need to file a petition in court, have a guardian ad litem appointed for you or have another adult to sue on your behalf.
