Keep the small dog away from the pit bull and call Animal Control about the pit. All dogs must be on a leash and under the owners control at all times.
They live in kennel. They have food, water and kennel. The don't get human contact or exercise

Unfortunately, those are sufficient for their protection under the law. I doubt there’s much you can do.
Specifically, do dogs need to be on a leash when being walked in the neighborhood or park?

You’ll need to check the local ordinances regarding animal control in Kenton County.
Both dogs were in their yards, no leashes. They both locked eyes and ran towards each other. It was right on the property line of their yard and our neighbors yard. Our dog is about 10lbs and this was a huge pit bull.
the shelter says to return the dog to my friend they have to travel back from the state they moved to and pay the fee for the spaying, vaccinating, flea treatment, and microchipping. Which sounds reasonable if my friend hadn't just moved to a different state and trusted the co-worker to take... View More

Puppy DX w/parvo 2nd day we had him, is there any liability that goes back to breeder? Puppy made it home after being at vet hospital for 6 days

It depends on the terms of your contract with the breeder. It should set out the terms and responsibilities of both parties.
We found a kitten and the vet has been calling and leaving voicemails for a week on the number listed on the chip. When are we allowed to take ownership and get the vet to give the kitten an exam and vaccines?

No, but if you can’t care for the dog, you might want to consider surrendering her to a rescue who can provide the proper medication and treatment.
I live in Montgomery County in Kentucky outside city limits in a subdivision. There is nothing in the law that I can find for a leash law. It is having a large impact on my families life. I can't mow my lawn or let my kids go out front alone to play, get the mail or go to the ice cream truck.... View More

You don’t need a law passed. Just shoot it next time it’s on your property.
They can’t keep the dog in it gets free all the time. I’m in fear of it going after one of my children next. Can I legally shoot it if it steps one paw on the property? It’s so fast and the last goat it killed was right in front of my children.
answered on Jun 4, 2021
Depends on any local leash laws you may have, but you can legally shoot it if it comes freely onto your property.
I have used the same farrier for over 2 years, he knows we have dogs, they are always put up, when he has a appt here to shoe, but showed up early, he text me,,, and i do not have a cell phone, he knows that,,, so i did not get is message that he would be early... he assured me he would not... You are still liable for the dog bite. In Kentucky it is strict liability.
He is up here everyday five times a day we have contacted landlord and neighbors asking them to keep him down there they refuse to. If we can’t legally shoot him what can we do !

Most likely, yes, depending on where you are in Kentucky and the applicable local lease laws.
I own a horse boarding facility. One of the boards has not paid board in 3 months. At want point can I take ownership of the horses and try to sell them to recoup my expenses?

Depends on the terms of your boarding contract or, if no written contract, you must give owner notice in writing to cure default or they will be did to cover boarding.

She has filed for a divorce and the pups were born why we were married

If the mother of the pup was pregnant during the marriage she would have a property right claim to the pup just as you would.
