You are still liable for the dog bite. In Kentucky it is strict liability.

Q: My neighbors allow their dog to roam he has bred my dogs in kennel twice and still comes over here can we legally shoot?

He is up here everyday five times a day we have contacted landlord and neighbors asking them to keep him down there they refuse to. If we can’t legally shoot him what can we do !

Q: Can I sell horses that have not had board paid in 3 months?

I own a horse boarding facility. One of the boards has not paid board in 3 months. At want point can I take ownership of the horses and try to sell them to recoup my expenses?

Depends on the terms of your boarding contract or, if no written contract, you must give owner notice in writing to cure default or they will be did to cover boarding.

Yes. The dog belongs to him. You just said so in your question. If he is mistreating the dog, report him to animal services. If they remove the dog, them you can possibly adopt him.

Not unless your dog leaves your property. There are leash laws and if your dog acts that way while running unrestrained off your property, the statute permits them to shoot your dog.

Q: We have 4 dogs roaming our property constantly can I legally set a live animal trap and take one to the pound?

These are possible nearby neighbors dogs and I’ve contacted animal control numerous times they won’t do anything. One dog acts aggressive towards us on our property when we come in contact with it. Could I get in any legal trouble if I were to set a live trap and catch one and take it to the pound?

You can trap them (only on your property) and deliver them to animal services, yes.

Q: Follow up to my question: My dog was stolen from Ohio, but is being held in Kentucky.

I have contacted the Montgomery County, KY sheriff's office and they refuse to take the dog back. The people who took him are claiming he is a gift, which is false. I have all the paperwork proving ownership, but they still will not move.

What actions can I take in this situation?

The girl who stole my dog is currently in custody, but her mother refuses to return to him me. He is microchipped and I have vet and purchase records that are only in my name. What can I do to get him returned?

The dogs are chipped in her name but she refuses to help me financially with them

What can I do, they are killing me financially with all the food, grooming, vet bills, I even pay someone to go let them outside because of my long work hours
