Now the grandparents filed for temporary custody. How can I get my children back?

Hire a family lawyer and attack their claim of standing as custodians!!

Unless the child has lived at least 6 months with them continuously, they do not have standing to seek custody; therefore you are now the sole custodian.
And what right do the have as 16 year old adoptees

Neither side has any rights. They were terminated. You may want to wait until they are 18 and legal adults. Then you can contact them and seek a relationship.

First, he needs to get an ID. He can’t go anywhere or do anything without an ZiD. Second, if he has not been adjudicated incompetent (disabled), then he can go snd do as he pleases once he turns 18. Finally, once the forgoing issues are resolved, when he turns 18 you can come get him and take... View More

In Kentucky there is a presumption that both parents should see the children 50% of the time and both parents should have joint custody and decision-making. That presumption can be overcome if one of the parties has problems like using drugs or it is not in the best interest of the children to see... View More

Permanent custody of my daughter was awarded to her father's brother 9/15/20. I am being denied visitation with my child. As her mother am I not entitled to visitation?
answered on Nov 2, 2020
You may be entitled to visitation depending on the reason for losing custody. You will want to start with reading the judgment giving your brother in law custody to see if it gives you visitation, if not you may need to ask an attorney for help seeking visitation.

I have never been notified about this child and she says the child wants to meet me. I don’t believe it’s mine and my life is going great I don’t want to start now taking care of a 14 year old. Am I obligated to do anything. Will the court let me go or will I have some type of responsibility?... View More

You don’t have any responsibility nor do you need to do anything until or unless you are served with a paternity complaint.
