Q: If I co-sign for a car, can child support try to take it if I owe some past due money?

Thinking about co-signing for a car loan to help my girlfriend. I owe some back child support from my ex in the amount of about $5000. I currently make payments and arrears every 2 weeks. If I co-sign, can child support come after both of us and try to take the vehicle? Thanks so much guys!!

Q: Hi I live in MA and my sons father and I have a child support agreement out of court but need court oder now.

I applied for a mortgage and they require a court order to prove child support amount. We have a voluntary agreement for the amount but the woman there said it will take 6 months to get the court order and a lot of paper work. We have a mutual agreement, is there a faster process?

He cannot challenge Paternity but he can seek visitation , however. The waffling about his level of interest in the child is a concern which you should bring up to the Court in establishing visitation if he indeed seeks it.
