The simple answer is the officer did give you a break as you could have gotten a ticket for obstructing traffic even if no traffic existed. You're not allowed to sit park or stand in a gridded area. Thank the cop pay the ticket and move on as they do not need to give you a chance to move your car.

Yes you can have both suspended and be convicted on both as they are separate, one is the license for your car and the other is the license for you. They are considered separate but have the same penalties for each offense. Get a lawyer as you face the loss of your license and even possible jail... View More

It means that your subject to the following penalties for fictitious number shall be subject to a fine not exceeding $500.00 or imprisonment in the county jail for not more than 60 days. Thus I suggest hiring a lawyer

You're looking at a 302 $500 fine one-year loss of your driver's license and Community Service as determined by the court. Get yourself a good lawyer and insurance now on the car and you may be able to avoid this. Don't get a good lawyer and you may not be driving for the next year.
the office put my car type as BUS, when i have a SUV. Is there anyway i could get this dismissed because of the mistake and because i have a clean driving record, as well as i plan to do online defensive driver course to show alj
answered on Sep 12, 2019
Unfortunately this will be considered a clerical error and will not lead to a dismissal in the majority of cases unless you had a trial and the cop insisted that you drove a bus. Your best bet is to hire a good lawyer to eliminate the points for you, most of us offer free in office consultations,... View More

For New Jersey Motor Vehicle Commission purposes it has no points.
This is if I happen to plead guilty and just get this over with and this has to do with a careless driving statue in N.J

Generally it will increase your insurance but you need to ask your insurance carrier. If it increases your insurance like most people I suggest hiring a good lawyer.
The officer said that it is illegal in the entire state to make a u-turn in an intersection. Is this true? I checked up the law that was written on the ticket- it only mentions where prohibited, over double yellow lines or within 500 feet of turn.

Unfortunately the officer is right in NJ and he could have given you additional tickets. I suggest that if you want to fight the ticket and get the best results (at least eliminate the points) hire a good NJ lawyer, most of us offer free in office consultations.
I got a speeding ticket and reckless driving ticket in a company vehicle. It wouldn't matter whether your driving a commercial vehicle or a personal vehicle as the offense penalties are the same regarding these offenses. It would only matter if the offense was for only commercial vehicles such as overweight truck, driving on a road limited to a certain weight etc.... View More

If they weren't automatically dismissed by the court due to their age, that means they are serious tickets and you must go to court for them and win in order to get them dismissed. This is best done with a good lawyer. Most of us offer free in office consultations, I would suggest that you... View More
I see the law 39:3-33 states that any car driven on a public highway must have plates clearly displayed. Can I fight this ticket as my school parking lot isnt a public highway?
answered on Aug 24, 2019
Unfortunately that would not be considered a winning defense. You best bet is to take off the license plate holder which is blocking the plate which is the general reason this ticket is given.
