You need to contact a Virginia licensed Lawyer and see exactly what can be done in your particular case. Most Attorneys offer a free in office consultation, I suggest you set one up ASAP as this can be a very serious offense.

h told me he wasn't sure if his vehicle would pass inspection & a friend of his got him the new car sticker & if it didn't pass he was at the time making $11/hr wasn't sure if he had the $$ to pay for it. he didn't think it was that big of a deal, the cop didn't arrest him or impound the car.

Your son got very lucky they did not impound the car. Yes I suggest he hires a lawyer or at least talks to one as he is looking at a $500.00 fine and what you describe could have additional criminal charges if not handled correctly.

Not very likely. I would recommend you try to plead it down to be safe

You can plead not guilty and take statute from online to court and show prosecutor and ask him to agree that the officer made a mistake so that he may dismiss the case. If he doesn't agree then you can take it to trial and raise your defense under the statute and if Judge sides with you then... View More

I don't know this statute but 39:3-10b is unlicensed driver which if you read the statute online carries six months preclusion from obtaining a license once you become eligible to be licensed and up to sixty days in jail.

More information is needed to properly answer
your question. You should speak to a lawyer in an in person consultation, but expect to pay for any immigration advice as that is beyond the Free consultation most attorneys offer.

I would not complain about the parking ticket because the year old marijuana was still good enough to give you a criminal charge.
what are the chances of fighting a tint ticket?
answered on Jun 20, 2018
If you have any kind of tint on the front window of your car, any municipal court Judge will convict you.
I am from Colorado. I was in for a wedding. I was navigating to the venue. The phone got locked. So i unlocked it while driving. According to the law itself your chances of winning are good. The reality of the situation is most judges will find you guilty. It is a mandatory court appearance so you will need to come to court otherwise a warrant could issue for your arrest. A lawyer may be able to appear on your behalf but... View More

Can you get a ticket certainly. Can the town win it, is always up to the judge, remember you generally have an easement to the town in the front few feet of your lot.

You should contact motor vehicles and pay any outstanding fines and pay to have your license restored if suspended administratively and yes, you can get it back

If you're using a vehicle for commercial purposes it must have commercial plates at all times
I received 2 tickets at a police checkpoint set up in the parking lot entrance of my high school, one was for not having the red decals placed on the left corners of my license plates and the other was for driving with a friend who was 17. Most likely you will just get some fines, BUT it depends on the town you are in.
Ticket came from a NJ city 45 miles away from the mechanic shop having possession of the car on the date and at the time (1:00 a.m.) of the alleged offense. The sign said no parking Friday 6pm to Sunday 6pm. I honestly never saw it, but saw the ticket on my windshield when I left. My car and the entire street worth of cars had these tickets. You could tell the township hung these on the utility poles, only in the summer, to decrease the parking... View More
answered on Jun 3, 2018
Yes you may have a point if it is that high to be able to win but most judges will still find that the sign was reasonably placed
answered on Jun 1, 2018
As many as you want until you hit 12 points then your license gets suspended. That being said some tickets come with jail and loss of license just from the ticket itself.
answered on May 29, 2018
This will generally be considered a clerical error and the officer will identify you as the person he gave the ticket to in court so the judge will ignore it and convict you. I suggest you just pay it because if you want to go to trial on it you may have to go for more than a few court appearances.
