Yes it probably could have been if the cops were not invited on the property but they were, so that is not a defense. Your best bet is to get a good lawyer. Most of us traffic violation lawyers offer a free in office consultation, I suggest that you set one up.

Depends on who is asking MVC or your Insurance company or Employer, but you only have one ticket that could reasonably be considered a moving violation.
answered on Oct 5, 2017
If it was a moving violation, you would have received points from MVC on your license. That does not mean that the car insurance company can't and won't hit you with a surcharge.
I had bought my car in NY on 9/20/2016 but had it registered in NJ and obviously have NJ plates. The car was inspected in NY and good until 9/30/2017. The cop gave me a ticket and says it needs to be inspected in NJ if I have NJ plates. He gives me a $130 ticket (no points). It turns out my car... View More

That is a really good analysis and issue presentation. I would say that you could really try that argument, but it is one that the prosecutor will not be able to recommend to the court and will have to be heard by the judge. Before you take that route, you had better review the legislative intent... View More
I was driving my mom's car it has tinted windows. I was coming back from the shore, cop said he wouldn't give me a ticket just a warning and told me I can go. Now I find a ticket for safety glass requirement in the mail.

Yes tickets by mail are perfectly legal and you can get both a warning and ticket as I know of no law the prevents it.

No there are no points for dropping off passengers other than at a curb, just a fine

Probably pay them, your time in court is worth more then the cost of the tickets for most people as you will generally need to go to court a few times to get a trial.

He claims he didn't see the flashing yellow lights and the raised stop sign. The officer took his driver license and then returned to his car and said he would mail the citation. Can he do that?
answered on Sep 20, 2017
Yes tickets are commonly mailed so expect one in the mail and if you don't get one within 2 weeks you should call the court to make sure it was not lost in the mail. If he does get the ticket get a good traffic ticket lawyer to fight it as the penalties for this offense are severe.
I never received the summons to my correct address and i realized after i got pulled over today that my license was suspended.

First go to MVC and pay the reinstating fees, then go to court and show mailed to wrong address, and pay your fine

allowing parking tickets to pile up in the state of New Jersey can lead to the towing of your vehicle or a boot on your wheel. In the event that you choose to continuously not pay for these parking citations, you may even have a warrant for your arrest created.
answered on Sep 18, 2017
You can fight the suspension as the letter states or have a lawyer do it for you but you will need to support you arguments with the facts and legal reasoning.
System how long before the ticket becomes void or does that not exist
answered on Sep 16, 2017
As far as I know, that technically does not exist, but if and when you go to court, you can raise that to the prosecutor and use it to mitigate the offense penalty.
