Review the written contract that was entered with this person (assuming there was one). Was this person an attorney? If there was a contract, there should be a clause regarding an accounting of the funds if representation is to be terminated so that you are refunded for money paid but not earned.

Q: Got a marriage license but I want to go back to my country. Will this be a problem to leave or come back?

I was allowed to stay for 6 months and I should leave before Jan 14, 2015 then.

If you plan to adjust status in the US, you have to remain in US during wait unless you qualify for AP. Should you need a comprehensive evaluation of your case, please consult an immigration attorney.
