It depends how your clause is written. As you defaulted before the PAUSE order in March, you do not get all of the COVID protections, including the voiding of guarantees like yours in NYC. This is a contract for salary

You should read the contract. If it was well written there would be a force de majure clause. The clause let's parties out of the contract for events beyond their control.
