Q: My wife was on parole is was released from it on Aug 9th even though she still had restitution to pay

Even though she had left over restitution they told her they closed her file and that the restitution was no longer being tracked by the parole office. Is she through or off of parole if she is done does she still have to pay the restitution

You can ask the Judge to let you fill out an affidavit for a public defender.

Q: What happens for a 2nd offense shoplifting charge? Will I automatically go to jail?

The first offense happened 3 years ago. I was banned from the property for a year. I got a diversion when that incident happened & didn’t get into any more trouble until sometime last week when the 2nd offense happened. What the worse that can happen? What are some of my possible options??

It can not be but the DA can put an order in that it can not be considered a misdemeanor and used against you.

There is a chance that if the person was on bond for the new offense they will automatically change it to consecutive.

The statute of limitations has not run yet so there is still a chance you can be charged.

I believe an expiration order from what he means is a letter saying you are off probation.

It is not a conflict of interest. They are also not working for the same entity and both have different governing bodies.
